Today our family celebrated my sister’s birthday as well as mine, even though neither of our birthdays are actually today (hers was a week ago and mine is in three days). Everyone came over and the house was quite busy for a while. Among the many activities were marveling that Ollie the Fish has been alive for at least five years, present-opening, and listening to some very… interesting piano playing by various people 🙂
As has become somewhat of a tradition, I asked for a hat for my birthday. This time it was a beret! I wasn’t honestly sure I’d be able to pull off a beret, but I think I can. And, of course, if I wear the three hats I’ve collected at the same time, it just makes everything better. Another gift was Killer Bunnies, which is not a group of killer bunnies to be my friends, but is actually a card game that I played long ago and remembered it as being really fun. We played a round tonight and it is indeed quite fun!
My sister received, among some other gifts, a thing to make smoothies with. On the front, it had a picture of a blender full of various vegetables and fruits, including but not limited to: beets, kale, blackberries, raspberries, lemon, celery, blueberries, and strawberries. To me, that doesn’t sound like a very good smoothie!
Anyway, it was a fun day as well as something worth writing about. I’m getting really old now – fifteen!
