The CD player in Dink’s car recently broke, and he had it fixed at a Best Buy. Unfortunately, even though the CD player was fixed, only one of his speakers worked. Later, he was driving along, listening to music, and his only working speaker broke as well. It’s quite understandable, since they were twenty plus years old. A few days later, Dink and Niles went out to Best Buy to buy a new set of speakers which they decided to install themselves.
Since then, it’s been a very interesting process to observe. They managed to get one speaker installed after about fours; the second went a little faster. Then they started on the rear deck speakers, which presented many problems. They thought of multiple solutions before deciding upon the one which they thought would work the best. At the end of it all, the rear deck speakers took about five days to install (they both were engaged in other activities as well).
In the course of their endeavors, they came across the need for electrical tape, and they bought a really cool kind. It only sticks to itself! It doesn’t even feel sticky, but when you stick a piece of it to itself, it is very difficult to pull apart.
I would say that they did a pretty good job. They used this video for reference and this really helped them a lot. Now, the sound system in Dink’s car sounds quite nice and in fact Dink and Niles are going for a drive right now to listen to it 🙂
