I was earlier shown a video of the Chinese pianist Lang Lang playing Chopin’s Étude Op. 10, No. 5, or the black keys etude. First of all, he plays it quite rapidly, which is impressive in the first place, and then he goes on to pick up an apple. He holds it in his right hand and plays the same etude at about the same speed with an apple.
My first question was, “How?” which was quickly followed by a confused, “Why?” before I watched it again. It’s quite funny, actually, but it made me wonder what shape the apple was in afterwards.
