Christmas of 2015

As you must know, Christmas was celebrated a couple of days ago, and as is the tradition for December 25th, people in our family exchanged gifts with each other. Many presents were exchanged in our house. Several of us children ganged up and gave our dad a 10″ Sliding Compound Miter Saw with a Laser for making precise cuts. With that, we’ll be making a greenhouse and other things.

I myself was gifted a lot of things. According to Dink, it’s because I’m the easiest to shop for. Anyway, I was given three throwing knives, a long bathrobe, a fedora, a Frozen painting (which I’m going to use for a target), and a wooden comb, among other things.

The throwing knives are Gladius Throwers from Cold Steel. Today I set up a board and chucked a few knives at the board. The last throwing knives we had were really bad, and these are a big improvement. I stuck a few, but I’ll have to practice a lot.

The Frozen painting was from my two brothers and one of my sisters, all of whom have an intense dislike for Frozen. The intent for the painting was to use it for target practice, which is definitely what I’ll use it for. I’ve never seen the movie, but I think I wouldn’t like Frozen either. Don’t think about it too much and get upset, please.

Our sister’s boyfriend was over for Christmas and I was wearing my new bathrobe and fedora. He commented that I looked like a really lazy detective.

Anyway, we had a really nice Christmas and we hope everyone out there did too!

Now that there’s a lot of people in our family with actual jobs, there’s generally more presents under the tree 🙂

Love the hat. Not so sure about the knives – sounds dangerous to me!
