Today there were a lot of birds in our yard. Specifically, crows and vultures.
What made us look out of the window was the sound of crows cawing very loudly. There were 3-4 crows that we could see, and then we noticed the vultures. The vultures were flying really low and fast in a circle around our house, and we thought something was dead, but we didn’t see anything. More crows started gathering in our pine trees and on the ground and they continued their squawking at the vultures.
This situation continued for some time, and it was really funny at one point, because one vulture was sitting on the ground, and another was perched on the top of a small weeping peach tree. The slender limb was wobbling around while he was struggling to keep his balance. Later, a vulture flew up to a limb on the same weeping peach tree, knocking a crow that was sitting on it off.
The crows and vultures were having some sort of family feud, albeit very distant family feud.
(Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. They were taken from far away through a dirty-ish window).
