What’s Growing This Spring 2015

Today we cut some baby spinach, Romaine, bibb, arugula, and Swiss chard leaves and made a mini-salad for two. It was really good, even though I’m not the biggest salad fan. Our mom just couldn’t wait any longer to eat fresh again 🙂 The carrots and red peppers are from the store.

We also took an inventory of the growth happening today. Shown are a 3.5″ blue morning glory flower, Cabernet pepper plants, daffodils, some wild hyacinths, woodland poppies just about ready to open, apple blossoms, and Swiss chard in the ground.

The good thing about taking close-ups of flowers/plants is that you can’t see all the weeds in the rest of the garden 🙂

Hope you all had a good and restful Sunday!

Nothing is growing this spring for me, I don’t know why! Could be the strong winds? 😦

    • Yeah, strong winds are very destructive aren’t they. We are under a tornado watch today ourselves. Hope it doesn’t hit because a lot of hard work would be gone with the wind.

You have an interesting looking blog. I was looking at the most expensive pets and thought – only a rich person would be dumb enough to spend their money so foolishly 🙂
