Yo Vote! And Vote Democrat!

Today is election day. It’s the mid-term elections and we have been seeing signs displaying the names of people who are running for several weeks now.

Today, while driving, we saw a new kind of sign. It simply said, “Vote for the Democrats”.  At first, we didn’t really notice them, since there weren’t a lot, but as we drove along, we passed more and more. Eventually, entire medians were plastered with these signs. Funny thing was, there were no names on the signs at all, just “Vote for the Democrats”

That is what this race has come down to, we guess. It doesn’t matter who the person is apparently, so long as they belong to the right party.

Our parents voted today. They brought home some stickers that had an American flag on it which said, “I Voted” Unfortunately, it also said, “Yo Vote´”. It looked odd seeing Spanish next to the American flag and we didn’t like it since English is our language.

Whatever, we guess. Vote for the Democrats no matter who they are and get a sticker that says “I Voted” in Spanish. That’s the state of our country right now.

Heh. I voted. I voted for some Republicans and some Democrats. Some won and some didn’t. I don’t care about party. I vote for the people.

    • That’s good, Jeff. I replied to your comment awhile back, but I actually did not know what I was talking about – just in case you saw it. I thought I knew what was going on, but actually did not. In my defense, I am not old enough to vote and not in my defense, I make a lot of assumptions about other people sometimes. That seems to be one of those common human flaws doesn’t it…
