A New Tea Kettle Review

Well, we got an upgrade from our last teapot, made by Chantal, because it was accidentally dropped. That wasn’t too much of a problem by itself, but it was dented and that caused some of the coating on the inside to chip off. It eventually rusted on that spot so we decided to throw it away and look for another one.

We wound up getting a Le Creuset teapot which has worked pretty well for us. I don’t know if this is a well known company, but we went to one kitchen store and that was about all they had, so we thought it was probably of good quality. As it turns out, it is. If we had to make a complaint about it,  it would probably be the design of the handle.

The handle is really tall and shaped kind of weird as well. It’s shaped so that if you hold it at the top where the design seems to suggest, you have to really bend your arm in order to actually pour any water. But it’s fine, because you can also hold it from the side. Surprisingly, no part of the handle gets hot so we pour while gripping the side of the handle which is much more convenient.

Overall, it’s pretty good and on a scale from one to ten, I would rate it a 9. My parents, who obviously use it more than me, would rate it an average of 9 1/2. It was very pricey, though. We purchased it in the city so hopefully it could be purchased for less outside of the city.
