Happy Hump Day! Half of the week is over and for lots of adults (and students during the school year), that’s a good thing. Anyway, for our Hump Day, we’re putting up some terrible jokes and random trivia. Scroll down to the bottom of the article to see the answers.

When is a door not a door?

What’s a bat’s favorite thing to do?

What did the rooster say about his new coop?

There you go. Now you can think about those riddles while you read this information:

A quire (pronounced just like choir) means 24 sheets of paper.

“Icon” can be spelled “Ikon”.

It is correct if you want to pronounce “humble” like “umble”. Umble pie was eaten in England by poor people and it was made out of animal intestines.

“Whet” and “wet”. Are they homonyms? The answer is no, since “Whet” has an “h” sound in front of the word and “Wet” doesn’t – that makes them not homonyms.

Here are the answers to the horrible jokes:

A door is not a door when it is ajar.

A bat’s favorite thing to do is hang around.

The rooster said about his coop, “This smells . . . foul.”
