The Case of Mr. Mustard

Posted: April 10, 2014 in Videos

I took an acting class this year, and my play was just this Wednesday. In case you don’t know what it was about, we’ve written an article about it. It was a play about some teenage girls arranging a raffle for kids in a hospital. Then a Beatles fan club came with a bunch of Beatles souvenirs. Me? Well, I was an art thief who stole some art and all the Beatles’ things. Unfortunately, I was caught.

Anyway, here is a small clip of the play. In case you’re wondering, I’m the guy in the suit with the mustache. I think the best thing that I got out of this class was that it helped me to be more comfortable talking in front of people, which is a good thing.

MR. MUSTARD: Let me tell you a story. When I was a kid, I had a stepbrother. His names was Bernard. I called him Beanie for short. every time I got something, Beanie wanted it. And my stepmother gave it to him. I got a ball, she gave it to Beanie. I got a model airplane, she gave it to Beanie. I got a dog, she gave it to Beanie – ’til it bit the little creep and then she gave it to the pound. Anyhow, by the time I grew up, Beanie had got his hands on every last thing I was ever given. So one day, I decided I’d collect all kinds of things the Beanies of the world like to enjoy…. but I’d keep them all in my own valut. They’d be mine – all mine! Beanie would never get any of my stuff again!

(Because sometimes I wandered out of the microphone’s reach)
