November Sketches

Here are some selected drawings from my work over the past month. The three drawings that do not have a frame drawn around them are quicker, less detailed sketches, and the ones inside frames are those that I spent more time on. Also, I didn’t use any particular technique for the less detailed sketches because I am allowed to draw those as I wish.

I used a technique called gradation on the shoe and the graphite still life. Gradation means a gradual change from dark to light, and I really like using this technique. You can make some nice creations with it. The colored gourd and pear were put down using a technique called transparent layering, which means putting multiple layers of color down on the same spot.

If you have any comments that would help me to improve my drawing I would be glad to hear them!

I’m envious of your work! Closest I get to drawing is a coloring book, lol. My only advice is to keep drawing! You’re very good!
