“The Mouth Doctor” is an oral care product that you use like toothpaste. It comes in liquid form and you just put 2 to 5 drops on your toothbrush and brush as you normally do. It is made in the US, and that is always good.

We stumbled across this product a few weeks ago and saw that people loved it. Evidently, it is very good for your gums. But we wanted to try it especially because a lot of us have alkaline saliva, and this is supposed to help with control the plaque on your teeth (people with alkaline saliva get plaque easily, whereas people with acidic saliva don’t get as much).  We also read that that it is really spicy, and that it gets even more spicy if you put more than two or three drops.SAM_4621

We ordered a couple of bottles, and found that it was really spicy. Not spicy like jalapeno peppers, but spicy like mint. After all, it does have spearmint and peppermint in it, so I would expect it to be spicy. Anyway, I think it’s pretty good if you mix it with Eco-Dent tooth powder, which we also did reviews on in our articles Eco-Dent Powder Toothpaste, and Eco-Dent Extra Brite Dazzling Mint Tooth Whitener Review. If you do mix it with this tooth powder, I think it makes it a little bit less spicy.

On Amazon, the price is $53.97 for three bottles. This seems very expensive, but really, it’s three bottles and if you only use two or three drops every time you brush, it will take a while to finish the bottle. And plus, it works so well that it seems worth the money.

We also don’t use this every time we brush. I use Crest in the morning because they say fluoride is good for your teeth, but I use The Mouth Doctor tooth drops at night.

As for how it works, it works great. It leaves your mouth feeling very fresh, and it eliminates bad breath effectively. If you brush well, it really scours all the tartar off your teeth. It might take a while to get used to the strong mint flavor, but it’s very good besides that. On a scale from one to ten, Dink and I would both rate this product a ten.
