Yesterday was Chocolate Mint Day. We know this because of a blog that we visit, http://bickleyhouse.wordpress.com/. Believe it or not, there is at least one holiday every day. Some of them are pretty funny, like National “Joe” Day and “Wave All Your Fingers At Your Neighbor” Day.

The writer of this blog, Jeff, puts up a holiday on his blog every day and it is pretty fun to see what holiday it is. If you want to go to the actual website where he gets his information, you can go to http://www.theultimateholidaysite.com/. A while ago, it was National Fettuccine Alfredo Day, and we participated in that by eating Fettuccine Alfredo. Yesterday we had some Mint M&M’s for Chocolate Mint Day.SAM_3901

If you sometimes don’t know what to do with yourself one day, you might want to take a look at Jeff’s blog or the holiday website. There are usually several holidays in one day. I have not even heard of 95% of these holidays. I wonder how many people actually know about them.

I actually know someone who is not fond of mint. My theory is that this same person hasn’t got a good sniffer and taste buds aren’t 100%. And perhaps it is the mint that actually gets through? But then to each their own. I think I’ll see if I can’t find a chocolate covered peppermint patty.

    • I like mint ice cream, mint chocolate, and plain mint leaves. We grow mint in our yard, and it’s nice to go out and eat some whenever you feel like mint. Of course, we can’t do that now because it’s winter.

I’ve never heard of chocolate mint day – but I do like chocolate mints so I think it a splendid idea!

    • Don’t feel bad about not knowing the holiday. Believe me, I haven’t heard of even half of these, like I said in the post.
Yes, I do like the combination of chocolate and mint 🙂 It’s very savory.
