Hain Organic Powdered Sugar Review

A couple of days ago our mom made cinnamon rolls and she realized that for her icing, she needed confectioner’s sugar. She had to run to the nearest store and get it, and she got a bag of sugar made by the company Hain. We’ve noticed in the past that this store doesn’t carry any big name brands, although I’m not sure why. They carry a lot of uncommon name brands and most of them are organic. I wonder if organic sugar is any less processed than regular sugar, or if it is any healthier. I don’t get why the store just doesn’t carry some regular brands.

When we tried to make the icing, it didn’t work very well because the sugar was way too clumpy. It looked like they didn’t grind it enough. It tasted normal, but there were so many clumps it was hard to use. We had to make the icing and break up the clumps in there. That took a long time to do. An occasional clump would appear in your icing, but it was still fine. This confectioner’s sugar also cost a lot. It cost $5.99 for this small bag (if you’re store doesn’t carry it, you can order it here)!

I guess I shouldn’t be too negative because I don’t really know what kinds of things sugar goes through. The icing made with it still tasted good. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate it a 6 and a half, and Dink would rate it a 7 and a half.
