Wittner MT-50 Metronome Review

Since basically everyone in this household plays instruments, we need metronomes. We should seriously get more tuners and maybe better ones too, but we only have one tuner and it’s not too good. I guess we’re in tune all the time. Just kidding! I use the tuner every once in a while.

ANYWAY, the metronome we have is by Wittner and it’s really good. The old kind of metronome that we got was good, but it was always really hard to see what the numbers were because the plastic knob got scratched up after a while with all the turning we were doing. After a while, we had to throw them away, because we couldn’t read the numbers. On the Wittner, it doesn’t do that, and that means a lot. We have a couple and everybody except Niles uses this kind. Niles uses something else that’s a lot better called Dr. Beat. That kind has a lot more gadgets on it, but since we don’t need all the gadgets, we just use the Wittner. The Wittner metronome goes up to 208 clicks per second and down to 40. There’s also a tuning note on it.

This metronome is also very, very durable and compact, we’ve dropped ours many, many times and they’re still perfectly fine. It also uses up batteries really slowly so one battery lasts for a long time. It is very reasonably priced, and last but not least, it is good and loud but not with an annoying sound. Since Dink plays clarinet and I play trumpet, we need something we can hear over our playing. Anyway, this metronome has served us very well, and on a scale from one to ten, I would rate it a 9 and Dink would rate a 10. To buy this, you can click here.
