Professor Layton DS Games Review

Professor Layton is a DS game where you solve puzzles. Unlike some other puzzle games on the market, this game follows a storyline that is very interesting. It is rarely very realistic, but they still think up good storylines that are very fun to see unfold. They have made several games and we own two of them. One is called Professor Layton and the Curious Village and the other is called Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. I know they have made at least one more game, but I don’t know what it’s called.

One thing that makes this game so good is the puzzles. They can be very difficult to solve but once you’ve solved them it gives you a full explanation on how to solve it in case you didn’t really get it. You can also take hints, but each hint costs one hint coin. You can find hint coins scattered all over the game but there are a limited number of them, so you can’t take hints on every puzzle you come across. A lot of the puzzles are very witty and there is a large variety of them like multiple choice puzzles and sliding puzzles. This game also has sub-games in it that are pretty fun and in Professor Layton and the Curious Village, you collect pieces of a painting and then stick them together like a puzzle.

Another thing that we really like about this game is the music. The guy who writes it really likes using the accordion and the music is very jolly sometimes.

This game is great if you like solving puzzles and on a scale from one to ten I would rate it a ten and so would John.
